It's All About the Beer, Buddy

Hello there people! Here is another addition to my blog.

As I said yesterday, I was going to ask people that I know around the world, what their favourite beer is and why. I have contacted a LOT of people around the world and all of them are very unique and are in a range of diverse employment.

Well - First off the block is my friend Steven North. Steven North is the founder of heart activation music and music therapy and Managing Director of Star Point 9. I have known Steven for a number of years, and is a close friend.

STEVEN NORTH
"Okay Steve - what's your favourite beer and why?"
Steve replied "I don't drink that much anymore, as a matter of fact hardly ever! BUT!!! When I did, it was Hoegaarden."
Hoegaarden is a wheat beer from Belgium. And I liked it myself. "Yes", Steve continued,"it was absolutely delicious! It's a great beer. It's got a great wheat taste, you could taste the hops, and you could really get a swagger off it from about 3 beers! I loved the stuff!" *I'll put details about Steve and his work at the end of the page*
I interview a friend of mine that I met recently in Dublin, Ireland. And this guy is a tank! He's and awesome bloke and he's in the United States Armed Forces, as a specialist. And guess what his name is??

JOHNNY WALKER
Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce to you, my good friend Johnny. And yes this is his real name! I talked to Johnny today, and I got the best photo from his Facebook page of him drinking his favourite beer. I asked Johnny what it was and why. His answer -
"Corona - Just got used to it. I'll drink it as is but it's better with lime and beer salt... could be my Mexican half lol".
I find this hilarious. He did always, ALWAYS, have a Corona in his hand when he went to the bar. Top lad.

Now, let's go ask the fairer sex! Ladies and gentlemen, the fantastically gorgeous Jem Ros!

JEM ROS

Jem is an artist of the wardrobe. I have known Jem for a very long time, and we have had a lot of fun times. She has worked for some really top clothing brands (Country Road for instance - one of the good brands in Australia) and she certainly has an eye for fashion. She's been in the industry for years. She is the "go-to-girl" about fashion, ladies.
So this is what she said to me today - "It's got to be a crisp cold Amstel as it's German and low bead... easy top.." I am impressed.

Now - all the way to the British Virgin Islands!!! Yes! And just to make you all jealous as hell, this is where my good friend Odie Henzel works! Check this out!
Yes... I'm jealous too... But say hello to Odie. Odie works as a senior analyst specialising in restructuring and insolvency. Yes... it sounds boring as hell to us all, but I've heard a few tales, and it's not all that bad. It's worse! lol *jokes* Odie!
This is Odie. Ladies, line up.

ODIE HENZEL

Odie like Fat Yak. "It's got that earthy grassy flavour. I like it" I met Odie recently in Barcelona, and we have a few stories to tell. I hope to go to the BVI's soon to visit. Fat Yak is actually made in my hometown of Fremantle, Western Australia. And yes, it's a great beer. It does have that earthy flavour. That brewery also makes the famous Redback.

Oh, and by the way, Odie is from Sydney. So...

Now, we go back to Australia. I'm going to get in contact with my good mate Liam. He's in the caring industry, and has been for the past few years. He and I vape a lot, and of course, go out and create havoc when we can!
Ladies and gentlemen - Liam O'Keefe!

LIAM O'KEEFE
"So bud... what's your favourite?"
"To be honest I only drank it from bottles because I knew I liked it each time and wasn't gonna waste money on beer I may not like and from tap it was my favourite after sitting for 10 to 15 minutes to warm up a bit. Always found pub beer was a bit too cold for me. Plus TED's was least likely to give me the preservative reaction where you turn red but still did sometimes!!!"

Also in Perth, Western Australia, is Verity McDonald.
VERITY McDONALD

Verity is a window tinter, paintballer and horse trainer in the hills of Perth. She is also a qualified wool classer. She loves training horses and is very good at what she does. So I went on and asked Verity what type of beer SHE likes. Her answer..."Kilkenny I reckon... I have no idea why haha"
I told her it was probably because it had a great taste and it's creamy... and her answer to that was "Exactly why haha"!!!!

Now we are back to the U.S of A! My other friend from the United States Armed Forces - Brandon Beck. Brandon is from Pennsylvania and yes ladies and gentlegerms, this is the man who is also a specialist, and the fellow that was with Johnny Walker in Dublin, Ireland earlier this year. He is a one of a kind, and is a gentleman, a scholar, and a "man amongst men!".

BRANDON BECK
This here is a photo of Brandon dangling his legs off the cliffs in Ireland that could kill you if you had just the right amount of wind come at you! I asked Brandon today what his favourite is:
"So, my favorite beer is Franziscaner Weisbeir, the company itself has been open for about 750 years. The only beer I've had that's made by them is the Weisbeer which is pretty light, but has a smooth light sweetness to it; it tastes like apple, but I think it's honey"
Good answer! "My favorite domestic beer however is Yuengling Lager. It's called a lager, but it's more of an amber in color. It's hopiness and sweetness evens out pretty well, and it was a little bit and a mellow sourness to it. Frankly put it's a hell of a lot better than 80% of the mass produced American p!$$ water beers. I have to admit though, I have a little bit of a bias since I live an hour from the brewery (WHAT!?!?!), and my First Sergeant is from there so he'd kill me if I didn't mention Yuengling."
Wow. I knew he was into beer. That was an immense answer.

Well there's my lucky or magnificent 7 for today. Tomorrow, I'll ask some more people locally for what they think.

Until then drinkers!

Cheers!

P.S. - If you are interested in Steven North's music, he can be found at his website, starpoint9.com, or on his Facebook page (link below) stevennorth.com.au
I admire Steve a lot - and he has a talent that is real. So look him up.
